London trip - 30th Dec, 05'

London, the capital of England and the political-socio-economic center of the world in the 18th century, is located at the heart of England. I could feel myself, this city might once a great metropolis dwelled by millions of population. Money was flowing in and out of Westminster area, the rich and wealthy were strolling on the bank of River Thames, the nobles were enjoying the scenery by the pond in St James Park, rickshaws were running on Regent St... Well, today, the city of London is embellished with a even larger population of diverse ethnicity! Try to imagine, when I stand at a junction near Big Ben, I thought I am standing on a street in Brazil, India or any Eastern European state but England. Very interesting.

Beautiful wall painting about "Georgian era parlimen"at Charing Cross Underground Station.

The ever famous London Eye and the projected image of a Olympian Gold medallist on the eve of 2006 new year!

Night scenery on the Victoria Rd. leading towards the Big Ben.

How can I believe my eye, such a mesmerising Nike Town flaship store at the "deserted" crossroad of Bond St. and Regent St. This is the main shopping street in London and now I was capturing the scene around midnight.

Me posing in front of Her Majesty QE2's official resident - Buckingham Palace. I could see the similarity between this palace and the Istana Negara at Kuala Lumpur but the amount of visitor and the accessibility to this place.

Think of Changing Guard Ceremony, it "was" because I missed it. That was the end of the ceremony and I came late by 10 mins.

Want to know where HM QE2 accended to the throne of England, it was in the Westminster Abbey, in the picture. Everyone was queuing and paying a hefty GBP9.50 to visit the 500 year-old abbey. I had no patient to wait and visited the sister church for the abbey, namely St.Margaret Church.

Bath Trip - Dec 28th, 05'

The city of Bath, located at Somerset, East of London, is one of a few places in England still could find the trace of Roman Empire and Georgian architecture in the very front of my eye. It is one of the stunning historical site that is listed in U.N. World Heritage Site... The journey from Norwich to this part of English Land took almost 7 hours of drive through wide, properly pave motorway and narrow, mist-shrouded country road. It was an entirely new experience to me because this was the first time and the first place I travelled since I started to work here. Phiew... I got to leave all my work behind and enjoy the fullest in the trip!!

The Bath Abbey, standing bravely without showing aging from half a millenia of natural and human encroach. On the same location, once lied a Saxon Monastery, where the first King of England took throne at 978AD.

This is a water fountain with some words engravement on the pedastal saying "WATER IS BEST". No one knows when the water start to flow out from the "vase" of that statue. Some folks said it started ever since long ago. Amazing right?

Me posing on the shore downstream of River Avon.

A nice view of the Pulteney Bridge.

Facing south from the Pulteney Bridge.

The town center of Bath. This ofcourse looks very 18th century..

How can I convince you about Bath with the real Bath Room.!!

The original (reconstructed) view of the Roman Bath Room.
